A true taste of the vocal skills of the Ambassador of the Blues, LA's Margie Evans, backed by her favourite band, The Mighty Reapers.
It covers the range of her stage material - sweltering blues, sensual soul and funk, hip shaking R'n'B and two Gospel tracks that are sung straight from Margie's life experience.
11 of the 14 songs come from her pen, but that doesn't tell the whole story as she is a great improvising vocalist, and when she sings Gospel she testifies with great authority.
This CD is a very persuasive testimony to Margie Evans' quality, and also her collaboration with The Mighty Reapers.
